As Mr Rashad was driving home from work one evening, his car engine broke down suddenly. He tried to start it again but in vain. Eventually, he went into a nearby cafe and phoned a garage, asking for a mechanic to be sent out.
When the mechanic arrived, he lifted the bonnet (the front covering of the engine); looked at the engine for a moment, then pushed a wire back into its place. When he turned the key, the engine started again.
"How much do I owe you?" asked Mr Rashad. "Twenty pounds" said the mechanic. "Isn't that a lot of money for pushing the wire back? protested Mr Rashad." For pushing the wire back I charged fifty piastres, but I charged ten pounds for knowing which wire to push back" replied the mechanic.
